While worn, this chair is surprisingly comfortable and built to last—the compounded cardboard layers are resourcefully steadfast for many. X2chair the x2chair cardboard chaise lounge by the same designer can work as a sofa or armchair. Gehry was always interested in building furniture rather than designing it. This material was deemed too weak to create furniture from it, but gehry didn't care.
